Last week in one of my mentorship sessions I had a great conversation about the insecurities around being a creative. It was a nice reminder that we all experience suffering when we create, even our heroes.

It would be absurd to think we're exempt from criticism, self-doubt, or embarrassment. Trying to avoid it would be like trying to avoid hunger, sleep, or love. Weirdly, suffering is the one common thread that gives me comfort in this process.
